Turks and Caicos Wedding Venues
Planning to get married in the Turks and Caicos Islands? This tiny archipelago in the north Atlantic Ocean is a fabulous destination wedding location, with soft white-sand beaches, dramatic turquoise water, quiet Caribbean vibes, and dreamy sunsets that provide a wonderful backdrop to your beachfront ceremony and wedding photos.
There are several islands to choose from if you're planning a wedding, but Providenciales is where most of the wedding vendors in the Turks and Caicos Islands are located. You can find caterers, wedding DJs, photographers, and florists on the island, as well as churches of several denominations that can perform a religious ceremony.
While Grace Bay Beach is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places to get married on Providenciales, there are several hotels, private villas, and even sailboats that you can book as a wedding venue.
If you’re planning a wedding of 100 guests or more, you’ll likely want to book a ballroom at one of the large hotels or resorts to accommodate your reception. Booking a hotel or resort for your wedding is a great way to host all of your guests in one place (and often, these properties will provide a discounted group rate if you’re bringing them enough business).
If you truly want an off-the-beaten-path, unique wedding venue for your nuptials, consider hosting your wedding at one of the all-inclusive resorts on the country's more remote islands, such as Ambergris Cay or South Caicos. This is a particularly nice choice for small weddings and elopements.
Grace Bay Beach
Grace Bay Beach is perhaps the most popular wedding venue in the Turks and Caicos Islands, for several reasons. Not only has it been named the world’s best beach by Tripadvisor several years running, but it features a very long, wide white-sand beach that can accommodate many guests without feeling crowded.
Some of the local wedding planners and vendors have decades of experience hosting and working with Grace Bay Beach weddings. Beautiful sunsets color the beach daily in shades of orange, pink, and pastel purple, and the turquoise hue of the water during the day makes for an incredibly scenic ceremony background. Plus, no uncomfortable shoes required—Grace Bay Beach weddings can be barefoot.
This beach is great for ceremonies and receptions, but as it isn't private, you can expect the odd beachgoer to wander past.
Lady Grace Catamaran
A great option for unconventional brides and grooms is hosting a wedding on an elegant catamaran. Lady Grace is a 64-foot (19.5 m) sailing catamaran with a large bar, two full bathrooms, and stairs that provide for easy beach and water access (convenient if you’re wearing a wedding dress or tux). There’s quite a bit of seating and a large area with full shade.
Couples who choose to marry on a boat in Turks and Caicos typically host their ceremony and cocktail hour on the vessel, followed by a dinner and reception either on the beach or at a resort or villa. Lady Grace is based out of the Ritz-Carlton resort on Providenciales, and an afternoon sail typically follows Provo's coastline east and back.
The Palms
A palm-fringed luxury resort and spa, The Palms is a great choice for couples planning a wedding on Providenciales. The beachfront resort has a dedicated wedding planner who can handle the details and coordinate with your vendors, and the resort only books one wedding per weekend. Plus, there’s an onsite spa where the bridal party can get ready.
There are several locations within The Palms where you can host your wedding ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour. The Palms’ ballroom can host weddings of up to 100 people, or can be partitioned to accommodate weddings of 50 or less. The resort’s wooden beach deck on Grace Bay Beach can hold up to 100 guests, and is a nice place for a sunset ceremony.
The Shore Club
One of the most beautiful resorts on Providenciales, The Shore Club is a luxurious property situated on the island’s south coast, facing the turquoise waters of Long Bay Beach. It can host weddings of up to 200 guests.
Like The Palms, there’s an onsite spa, a dedicated wedding planner on staff, and several spaces within the resort where you can host different components of your wedding. There’s a large ballroom that can accommodate indoor ceremonies and receptions, private luxury villas that are ideal for small weddings, and a poolside area for cocktail hour.
Of course, Long Bay Beach is an option, too. If you want an oceanside wedding without the sand, The Shore Club has a simple wooden boardwalk that makes for a beautiful ceremony space.
A Luxury Villa
A luxury villa is a great option for couples seeking a more private, intimate wedding venue. With spacious, beautifully landscaped and furnished villas located throughout Providenciales—including in Leeward, Chalk Sound, Sapodilla Bay, Turtle Tail, Turtle Cove, and Long Bay—you’ll have your pick of an idyllic venue.
To get married or elope at a Turks and Caicos villa, you will need to request permission from the villa owner or management company in advance. Unlike the large resorts, villas don’t typically have a wedding planner on their team, but there are several independent wedding planners on island who have experience hosting dreamy weddings for visiting couples.
Villa weddings are ideal for elopements and small weddings of 40 guests or less. If you’re looking for a wedding venue with an interesting story behind it, consider Emara Estate, a 20,000-square-foot (1,858 m²) villa in Turtle Tail that used to be owned by musician Prince.
A Church
If you’re hosting a religious wedding ceremony, there are numerous churches on Providenciales that perform weddings. Catholic ceremonies can be held at Our Lady of Divine Providence, located on Leeward Highway. There’s also a rabbi on Providenciales who can perform Jewish weddings.
Keep in mind that if you decide to have a wedding ceremony at a church on Providenciales, you will need to organize transportation for your guests from the ceremony to the reception venue. Taxis may not be readily available, and there are no ride-hailing or taxi apps on the island.
COMO Parrot Cay
Want to get married on a private island? Parrot Cay is a pristine private island located just a short boat ride away from Providenciales. Almost the entirety of the north coast is beautiful beach with perfect white sand and crystal-clear ocean water, and the island has played home to many celebrity visitors over the years.
COMO Parrot Cay, the island’s only resort, is a luxury property that can host weddings of up to 150 people. The resort has three possible wedding venues onsite: the Lotus restaurant, the COMO Beach Club, and, of course, the beautiful beach fronting the resort.
The resort provides planning assistance to couples and can organize florals, wedding licenses, officiants, a wedding coordinator, and more upon request. Given its proximity to Providenciales, where most vendors are located, Parrot Cay is arguably the most convenient of the private islands for hosting weddings.
Amanyara Resort
With a Balinese look and feel, the luxurious and beachfront Amanyara Resort on Provo’s west coast is a beautiful wedding venue. This property is as remote as it gets on Providenciales—couples getting married on the beach fronting the resort, Malcolm's Road Beach, can expect to have it all to themselves.
Amanyara is a great choice for couples looking for a secluded, off-the-beaten-path venue. It has a nice ambiance, with lush vegetation, a wild limestone coastline, and beautiful wooden pillars and ceilings incorporated throughout the property.
You can get married on the beach, at the resort’s onsite restaurant and bar, or at one of the property’s luxury villas. The resort can host weddings of up to 70 guests in the villas and up to 120 seated guests at the open-air restaurant.
