You’ll want to work with a local photographer that you and your wedding planner (we recommend using a planner) are comfortable with, including both in the photographer’s portfolio style and in their working manner.
The Turks and Caicos is an incredible wedding photography destination. Our signature beaches, complete with turquoise water and white sand, are paradise and the perfect backdrop.
It’s important that you set aside time to discuss directly with your photo studio what you’re looking for. Our internationally recognized photographers can create everything from a classic look, vintage, casual, trash the dress, or a combination of several styles. A favorite shoot location is of course on the beach, and Providenciales certainly doesn’t disappoint in this regard, as there is an amazing selection of coasts to choose from, all of which feature perfect white sand and turquoise water.
Sunset photo shoot sessions are very popular, both for general vacation portraits and posed wedding shots of the bride and groom.
You’ll want photos not just of the wedding, but of the entire event. Many local professional photographers offer package deals that cover shots not just of the married couple, but groomsmen and groom, bride and bridesmaids, wedding party, and more casual honeymoon shots.

Planning a large beach wedding in Turks and Caicos can be a bit daunting, but your resort or a wedding planner is happy to help, including working with photographers and videography.

Trash the dress shots, which are becoming very popular in the Caribbean, are another option and often done in the ocean with underwater cameras.
Wedding Video
A few of the local studios also offer video production, which may include aerial drone video, which is the perfect way to show the guests and important events in the beautiful environment of the Turks and Caicos.
Drone video footage and photos are becoming a standard inclusion as well, and are perfect for the group shot of friends and family with the backdrop of beach and ocean.
Prices and Wedding Packages
The price for basic one-hour wedding photography of the ceremony starts at about $500. The typical package that includes photos of the ceremony, dinners, and formal portraits begin at around $2,000.
Video packages tend to be expensive, starting at $1,500-3,000 for a produced and edited movie.
Venues and Settings
The Turks and Caicos does one backdrop really well: perfect and pristine beaches. Each of our islands features a range of exquisite beaches with varying atmospheres. There’s really no better choice for a Caribbean wedding or engagement shoot.
On Providenciales, which is the main tourism island in Turks and Caicos, Grace Bay Beach, Leeward Beach, and the Bight Beach are the top wedding locations. Another romantic and unique option is a wedding on one of our uninhabited cays, such as Fort George Cay, Water Cay, or Half Moon Bay.

Many of the larger Turks and Caicos hotels and resorts offer quiet courtyard venues, complete with lush landscaping. Local wedding planners and caterers maintain selections of décor, decorative arches, and tents, and are able to source floral arrangements.
The options for a garden or park setting are a bit more limited due to our dry environment. The Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club is one of the few sites in the country with a vibrant lawn!
Clear Kayak Photo Shoots
A unique and new photo shoot opportunity is clear kayak drone photography. Subjects float on a clear glass bottom kayak at a spectacular beach location, and a drone is used to take shots from an overhead perspective. The results are typically stunning, especially for social media!
Several companies offer clear kayak photography services, including the eco-tour guides that provide wetland tours, as well as dedicated photographers that specialize in clear kayak lifestyle photos and video.
Churches
The Turks and Caicos features one of the highest number of churches per capita in the world. On Providenciales, there aren’t many historical places of worship due to the young age of the island’s development.
Grand Turk, Salt Cay, and South Caicos, due to their lucrative sea salt industry past, feature several beautiful albeit small colonial and Victorian-era churches. These old buildings were constructed from cut limestone blocks from the Turks and Caicos or Bermuda, with tropical wood finishing.
Quite a few of the salt island churches are beachfront, such as St Mary’s Anglican Church in Cockburn Town on Grand Turk and St John’s Church in Balfour Town on Salt Cay.
