Providenciales ATV Tours

A guided ATV tour is a great way to experience the wild side of the Turks and Caicos and some of its top attractions. Some venture to the spectacular and undeveloped west side of Providenciales, primarily Northwest Point National Park, Malcolm’s Road Beach, and West Harbour Bluff. Tours departing from the Blue Hills area may also travel through the Wheeland Ponds region.
Others offer a shorter loop around the Grace Bay tourism area that focuses on the beaches, shopping areas, and a few attractions, such as The Hole.
ATV tours are usually led by one or more guides and often have up to 10 riders. Once you've arrived at each stop, there’s typically a bit of time to explore the beaches and landscapes.
Most tours are between 1 and 3 hours long. Longer excursions often stop for lunch at a local cuisine restaurant.
Sights and Scenery
The west coast protected areas on Providenciales support a diversity of terrains and wildlife. Common sights are ospreys, pelicans, egrets, herons, and sometimes even flamingos.
In addition to Grace Bay and Long Bay, there are two areas that ATV companies often visit: Northwest Point and West Harbour Bluff. If you’d rather see more than what’s featured on a single tour, most companies offer custom adventures.

Northwest Point National Park
Starting in Blue Hills, you’ll see the bird haven of Wheeland Ponds, a winding trail through tropical dry forest, a sandy coastal track, and ultimately, the extreme northwestern point of Providenciales.
At the point, the coast changes from white-sand beach to low marine limestone ironshore, and there can be majestic waves breaking close off the land when there’s an ocean swell.
West Harbour Bluff
The southern route to this location travels through the wetlands of Frenchman’s Creek, a system that includes mangrove channels, tidal flats, and salt ponds. At the conclusion of the road is the peninsula of West Harbour Bluff, which features ocean cliffs and the popular Split Rock, a small cave (Pirate's Cave), historical rock inscriptions, and a tranquil beach.
Some trips visiting the west coast also visit Chalk Sound National Park.
Grace Bay and Long Bay
An easier ride is the Grace Bay and Leeward route, which takes you past the numerous shopping plazas in downtown Grace Bay. Many UTV and ATV tours following this route stop at The Hole, a deep sunken-in cave located in Long Bay. Other stops are Leeward Beach and Long Bay Beach, two beautiful turquoise beaches with perfect white sand.
Booking and Reservations

For the best price, consider booking directly with the tour business. It's recommended to reserve in advance, especially for custom adventures.
Many tours include a 10-minute safety introduction and orientation on how to operate your rental. Helmets and goggles are usually provided. Riders typically need to arrange their own transportation to the meeting point. Lunch may or may not be included in the initial price.
Many excursions are on unpaved roads, so be prepared for mild dust (sunglasses and a neck gaiter can help). The sun can be quite intense here—dress appropriately and bring drinking water.
ATV tours range from around $130–400 per person (2026 prices). Companies usually require riders to present a valid photo ID and be 18 years or older to drive—check with your rental company before booking.
As is the case with any vacation activity, consider planning around the weather forecast. ATV adventures are typically nicest on days with a mix of sun and clouds and some wind to keep you cool. On calm and low-wind days with sunny conditions, you may want to book a water activity such as snorkeling or a boat cruise.
