4-star rating for Royal West Indies Resort by Visit Turks and Caicos Islands
Royal West Indies offers a beautiful garden setting directly on Grace Bay Beach.

Royal West Indies Resort is a popular Grace Bay beachfront resort, and typically has great rates for being a beachfront hotel. The resort features a spacious setting and lush landscaping, with direct access to an exceptional section of beach, and overall is a great choice for a tranquil vacation.

Beachfront on Grace Bay Beach

This resort is beachfront on a great stretch of Grace Bay Beach, on the eastern side of the coast.

All of Grace Bay Beach is consistently excellent, and personal preference of course varies, yet in our opinion the stretch of coast that runs between Grace Bay Club and Club Med is the finest section of the world-famous beach, as there’s a wide swath of sand, and the ocean is typically calmer than at other areas. The property is located in the middle of this part of Grace Bay.

As is the case for nearly all of Grace Bay Beach, there are no shore snorkeling reefs near the resort. The closest beach reef is the Bight Reef, found on the far west side of the coast.

Rooms and Amenities

This resort offers a choice of studio suites, and one and two-bedroom suites, with oceanfront, ocean view, and garden view options. Studios have kitchenettes, and suites have full kitchens, which is very convenient for cooking in and saving on some dining costs.

Royal West Indies isn’t as new as some of the other luxury resorts on Grace Bay, and as such rooms tend to be a little smaller than some of the more expensive options, yet they are comfortably furnished.

Complimentary amenities include the use of water sports equipment, bicycles, a great swimming pool, loungers, towels, and umbrellas, at both the beach and the pool, and welcome punch upon arrival.

Pelican Bay Restaurant

Onsite at the pool at Royal West Indies Resort is the Pelican Bay Restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant serves an interesting menu of Caribbean and international dishes, and typically has specials and events on several nights of the week, including the weekly Jerk Festival, and Lobster Extravaganza.

Located in Grace Bay

As Royal West Indies is found on the eastern side of the Grace Bay region, the shopping plazas of Ports of Call, Regent Village, and the Saltmills are too far off for pleasant walking.

The resort does have bicycles that guests can use, which makes much of Grace Bay easily accessible. Within a few minutes ride is Graceway Gourmet supermarket, several shopping plazas, and more than two dozen restaurants, bars, and cafés.
