The Best Grace Bay Beach Resorts

Grace Bay Beach
Grace Bay Beach is one of the finest beaches in the world!

World-famous Grace Bay Beach is home to many exquisite hotels, resorts, and vacation villas, and finding the right accommodation can be a bewildering task. Many resorts have their own specialty or unique ambiance, which should be factored into your choice.

Due to the exclusivity of Grace Bay, there are very few vacation villas that are directly beachfront on Grace Bay Beach itself, so a hotel and resort will typically have to do if you’re seeking an ocean-view room on this unrivaled beach.

When searching for accommodation on Providenciales, it’s also best to consider some of the other beaches on the island. The Bight Beach, Leeward Beach, Long Bay Beach, and several of our smaller coasts are also home to great places to stay.

The Best Luxury Resort on Grace Bay

One of the most difficult categories to designate is what accommodation is Grace Bay’s best luxury hotel, as there are simply so many great 5-star resorts to choose from.

The Palms brings together several great elements, including an amazing infinity pool, an expansive spa, a courtyard with boutique shops, and several great dining options. The resort features an elegant upscale Caribbean style and beautiful landscaping.

Point Grace, especially considering its more secluded location is a consideration, offers a boutique and intimate atmosphere and is another excellent luxury retreat choice.

Seven Stars Resort & Spa on central Grace Bay is a full-featured resort, with a top-tier restaurant, location, range of amenities, and setting. The resort features one, two, and three-bedroom options, most with stunning views over Grace Bay.

Another obvious candidate is Grace Bay Club, the first luxury hotel on Grace Bay. The first hotel has now grown to be a significant 5-star resort group with an impressive portfolio of beachfront resorts and villas. The original Grace Bay Club complex is located in the center of Grace Bay on an exquisite section of beach.

The Best Section of Grace Bay

Beach quality is a consideration. All of Grace Bay is exceptional, yet there are slight nuances and variances in Grace Bay, and some spots are a little more exposed to the wind and waves than other locations.

It of course depends on who you ask, yet in our opinion, the eastern side of Grace Bay usually tends to have better water and beach conditions. The section of beach fronting Royal West Indies Resort and Club Med Turkoise likely takes the lead in water quality, and The Venetian, due to being on the far eastern end of Grace Bay, boasts of the least crowded stretch of coast.

The Best Family Resort on Grace Bay

For families and kids, the expansive and all-inclusive Beaches Turks & Caicos offers a collection of activities and restaurants that simply isn’t rivaled by any other resort. This family-friendly resort offers 21 restaurants, a water park with pirate ship, six swimming pools, included boat, snorkeling, and scuba diving charters, and a great selection of water sports equipment and amenities.

Beaches consists of four village enclaves: the Caribbean Village, Key West Village, Italian Village, and the French Village. There’s a wide range of accommodations, from beachfront penthouses with multiple bedrooms, to garden one-bedroom suites, with full-time butler and concierge services available as well.

Grace Bay Resort with the Best Restaurant

Seven, the flagship restaurant at the eye-catching Seven Stars Resort & Spa, is one of the most popular fine dining establishments on Providenciales. Seven has a very well-rounded menu with a contemporary international taste, and vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, as well as a very extensive wine selection.

Graces Cottage at Point Grace is another contender for the top resort restaurant on Grace Bay. This small gourmet restaurant is housed in a gingerbread house, and has both indoor and alfresco dining. The menu is primarily contemporary, with many seafood options. The elegant Point Grace resort, which stands at Forbes Point, a lightly-defined point along Grace Bay, is a beautiful and tranquil luxury hotel. Several elements make this quiet retreat stand out, from the low-density design, to its more secluded section of beach. Point Grace is home to 28 rooms and suites, with one, two, three, and four-bedroom options. On-site is Thalasso Spa, a fitness center, Hobie Cat sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboards.

Grace Bay Resort with the Pool

Many of the Grace Bay resorts can boast of a great swimming pool, yet a few have especially beautiful designs that stand out. The Somerset, The Palms The Regent Grand, Ocean Club West, and Seven Stars are all contenders, yet in our opinion, Seven Stars takes the lead.

We feel that it’s important that the top Grace Bay Swimming pool has a view of the ocean, which narrows the otherwise extensive list of impressive and extensive pools.

The Best Grace Bay All-inclusive Resort

Grace Bay has a few all-inclusive resorts such as Beaches, Club Med, and the Alexandra Resort, each of which caters to a different market. Club Med is an activity and nightlife-focused adult-only resort, Beaches is an action-packed family resort, and the Alexandra is simply an upscale beachfront resort.

Alexandra Resort is part of the Turks and Caicos Collection, and stays at the resort include access and complimentary transport to the group’s other Providenciales resort Blue Haven. A great aspect of these two other hotels is that they feature different settings and activities. The Alexandra Resort also features on the beach dining at the Asu Restaurant.

All-inclusive stays at one of the Turks and Caicos Collection’s hotels on Providenciales include access to the amenities, water sports, pools, and dining of the other, which allows for a great change in resort atmosphere when desired.

The Grace Bay Resort with the Best Nightlife

Club Med Turkoise is the oldest still operating resort in the Turks and Caicos, and as such the sprawling adult-only all-inclusive had its choice of location, and is consequently located on one of the widest and calmest stretches of Grace Bay.

The rooms and accommodations at Club Med are not quite as spacious and luxurious as at many of the other Grace Bay resorts, yet the range of activities and nightlife is great, making Club Med one of the best bargains of any hotel on the island.

For visitors not staying at Club Med, one option is to get a day or evening pass. Passes allow access to unlimited drinks and food, boat and snorkeling charters, non-powered water sports equipment, tennis, and more.

The Best Budget Resort on Grace Bay

Sibonné Beach Hotel, one of the oldest hotels on Grace Bay, is small when compared to the other resorts on the island, yet their room rates are difficult to beat.

On-site at Sibonné is Bay Bistro restaurant, another long-time institution of Providenciales and also one of our best beachfront restaurants.

Grace Bay Resort with the Snorkeling

Windsong Resort, located at the Bight Reef (also known as Coral Gardens), is at the western end and at the only snorkeling reef of Grace Bay. The Bight Reef starts directly off the beach and continues out for a distance, and is home to turtles, stingrays, coral, and a spectrum of reef fish. Most of the sea life is quite used to people, so it’s easy to see some interesting creatures.

Adjacent to the Windsong is Coral Gardens Resort, which is an equally excellent place to stay for beach snorkeling.

The Best Grace Bay Resort for Weddings

Due to its secluded setting on a quiet stretch of beach and elegant design, Point Grace is definitely one of the top accommodations for a destination wedding. The additional seclusion that the coast around this boutique resort is perfect for hosting an important event. Point Grace is also home to Grace's Cottage, a small gourmet restaurant that has an extensive wine list and serves a contemporary Caribbean menu.

The Palms is another great choice, and has some exquisite courtyard spaces, a beautiful pool, and is of course beachfront on Grace Bay. On-site is a spa, several gourmet restaurants and bars, and spaces for gatherings and events.

The Best Grace Bay Resort near the Beach

A luxury Grace Bay beachfront resort can be very expensive! If you’re seeking accommodation that’s within a short hike of Grace Bay, there are quite a few options.

If you’d rather not rent a car during your visit to the Turks and Caicos, yet want to be able to access a great range of restaurants and shops, a great and economical hotel option is Ports of Call Resort. The hotel has great rates, and within walking distance is Graceway Gourmet supermarket, and plenty of dining and shopping options at Port of Call Plaza, Regent Village, and the Saltmills. Grace Bay Beach can also of course be walked to as well.

The Oasis at Grace Bay, a boutique villa resort near Grace Bay Club, and Villa del Mar are other options. They are both in a more tranquil location near the Grace Bay Club, yet still within walking distance of many restaurants and shops.
