Grace’s Cottage is a French fine dining restaurant in the Grace Bay area of Providenciales. Part of Point Grace—an intimate boutique hotel located at the western end of Grace Bay Beach—the restaurant prides itself on offering its guests private and romantic dining experiences al fresco.

Grace’s Cottage is only open for dinner (and the occasional daytime private event). Reservations are required, so if you want to sample their gourmet fare for yourself, plan your visit well in advance. You can make a reservation via their online booking platform.

The Atmosphere

Caribbean charm and romance sum up this island restaurant’s vibe. The bungalow-style eatery’s design is inspired by West Indian and British colonial architecture with its gingerbread trim and fretwork, carved mahogany bar, and pastel walls and accents.

Romantic lighting, tabletop candles, and flickering tiki torches illuminate the palm trees on its spacious patio, accessible by a stone pathway that leads to a lush garden.

You can choose to sit on the patio, at the bar, or on the restaurant’s covered veranda, where you can enjoy overhead shelter without losing out on that sweet Provo breeze. The dress code for the restaurant is smart casual. Grace’s Cottage is situated on the manicured grounds of Point Grace Resort and accessible via a short walk for guests on the compound. For diners visiting from outside the resort, opt for street parking.

The Menu

The restaurant’s menu offers gourmet, French-inspired fare with a Caribbean twist. You’ll find that French classics like duck confit, cȏte de veau, and chateaubriand are mainstays on the menu, as are local favorites like Caicos conch chowder and (when in season) lobster thermidor.

The marinated heirloom tomato and buffalo burrata is a particularly refreshing plate to start off the evening with. If you’re in the mood for seafood, their escargot, prepared with white wine, garlic, butter, chili, and a hollandaise sauce, is a popular starter.

For dessert, the restaurant offers traditional French desserts, such as crepe suzette and tart à la mode, in addition to international classics like cheesecake, ice cream, and lava cake. If you’re ordering their chocolate soufflé, chocolate lava cake, mille-feuille, orange crème brulée, or cheese plate, plan to add an extra 15 minutes to your dinner. All of these desserts require a little extra care to prepare—though if you ask a regular, they are worth the wait, especially the orange crème brulée.

Grace’s Cottage also offers a selection of after-dinner cordials and drinks, including Irish coffee, Caribbean Lover (which is Caribbean rum, amaretto, and almonds), Spanish coffee, Coffee Colada (Disarono and coconut rum), and the Grace’s Delight Martini (Woody creek rye, coffee, and Kahlúa cream).

Prices here run higher than your average dinner in Turks and Caicos but are comparable to other gourmet and fine-dining restaurants on the island.

The Wines

The restaurant has an extensive wine list with champagnes and sparkling, white, red, rosé, and dessert wines from around the globe, many of which you can order by the glass. Bottles of Moët & Chandon are available on order, as are a wide selection of reds from Italy, France, and Argentina.

A variety of cocktails is also offered, from pisco sours and negronis to crème brulée espresso martinis, a mix of espresso, frangelico, vodka, and kahlua.

The Children’s Menu

Taking the kids out to dinner? Although a fine dining restaurant, Grace’s Cottage also caters to younger diners with a dedicated children’s menu to satisfy pickier palates. The restaurant’s children’s menu includes mini pizzas, kids burgers, chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, fish fingers, and pasta.
