This al fresco bar has a laid-back vibe and hosts numerous events throughout the week.

The Abandoned Bar is an open-air bar, event space, nightclub, and lounge located near Grace Bay on Leeward Highway. It’s one of the largest venues for live music and nightlife on Providenciales and hosts several weekly events, from its Thursday movie nights to DJ dance parties and a Friday cookout with live acts.

At The Abandoned Bar, you’ll find a laid-back vibe and spacious outdoor venue with a covered dance floor, a large bar, cozy couches and bar tables lit by string lights, and even a long lap pool where you can sip on margaritas or slush cocktails during the day. New to the bar is an 80-by-40-foot (24 by 12 m) events tent with a raised stage, where local and international music acts perform. The tent's 30-foot (9 m) screen is a great place for catching a football game or watching a classic movie.

Regardless of what you want to do, there's something for everyone at this social space—even giant Jenga. The Abandoned Bar is located just a 3-minute car ride away from the luxury resorts and hotels of Grace Bay. On the typical night, there is no cover charge. You must be 18+ to enter the bar.

The Abandoned Bar is open from 4:00 PM until late Thursday and Friday, and 1:00 PM to whenever on Saturday and Sunday.

Live music at The Abandoned Bar.

Music acts from Provo and beyond have taken the stage at The Abandoned Bar, from Canadian musician Phil X (lead guitarist for Bon Jovi) to local rock band Weaponized Conch. The bar has also hosted salsa lessons, sports game watch parties, foam parties in their pool, and themed parties for holidays like Halloween and New Year's Eve.

With one of the largest footprints of any nightlife establishment on Providenciales, The Abandoned Bar is a popular venue for private events and parties. The events tent offers 80 x 40 feet (24 by 12 m) of covered area, and an additional 20 x 40 feet (6 by 12 m) of uncovered floor space.

Cocktails and Food

There's a laid-back and cozy ambiance at The Abandoned Bar.

There’s an extensive drink list on offer at The Abandoned Bar and a satisfying food menu to match. Their Friday cookouts are especially popular and arguably provide one of the best value dinner deals on Grace Bay—$10 for a burger and a beer, with a front row seat to a live music show.

Whatever you’re in the mood to drink, you’ll find it at The Abandoned Bar. The establishment’s large selection of spirits and mixed drinks, wines, sangrias, signature cocktails, mocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and beer has something for everyone.

Don't forget to try one of their tasty slush cocktails, the perfect drinks to beat the heat. These include classic Caribbean cocktails like piña coladas and frozen margaritas, as well as the more inventive frozé (vodka, rosé, organic strawberry, and lemon).

Given that the bar is Canadian-owned and operated, poutine is (of course) on the menu. Delicious on its own, the Abandoned Bar’s poutine also comes with the option to add tender Montreal smoked meat, pulled pork, or simply more cheese. Also on the menu are the usual bar and grill favorites, such as wings, tacos, chicken tenders, and crispy calamari.
