SUI-REN
The Shore Club, Sea Breeze Close, Long Bay, ProvidencialesAn upscale fine dining restaurant at the luxury resort The Shore Club that’s known for its exquisite design, Sui Ren is a sushi bar and grill that offers a taste of Japanese cuisine with Peruvian influences on Providenciales.
Named for the Japanese word for ‘water lily,’ Sui Ren is spearheaded by executive chef Martin Davies, an award-winning chef with international cooking experience in major cities such as London and New York, as well as local experience at the esteemed COMO Parrot Cay Resort.
An Elegant Ambience
While dining at Sui Ren, you’ll be surrounded by a delightful open-air space that is as spacious as it is beautiful. From the stunning architecture to the high ceilings with intricate patterns and lush palm trees, the ambience at Sui Ren forms a huge part of its appeal and is one of the reasons Sui Ren has established itself as one of the best restaurants in the Turks and Caicos, particularly for sushi and Japanese cuisine, despite being relatively new to the island’s culinary scene.
Taste of Sui Ren
Sui Ren is open from Friday to Sunday for dinner and offers a uniquely crafted menu of dishes that combine the best of Japanese and Peruvian dishes. To start things off, you can choose from a number of tempting appetizers that include miso soup, shrimp and pork gyoza, beef bao buns, and more. Craving ceviche? Sui Ren’s salmon passion tiradito and tuna ceviche are sure to satisfy your palate. On the heartier side of things, entrée options include miso glazed salmon, pan-fried chicken katsu, tofu curry, nasi goreng, and much more. Sui Ren also serves classic T-bone, filet, and rib-eye steak enhanced with miso jus, Tokyo butter, and grilled asparagus.
Sushi
The highlight of Sui Ren’s menu, however, is undoubtedly the makimono (sushi rolls) selection. From traditional options such as the California roll, volcano roll, and rainbow roll, to unique options such as the ‘El Chapo’ and the Asian Fusion, Sui Ren is a must-try for sushi lovers visiting the Turks and Caicos. Each roll is freshly prepared using the highest quality ingredients.
During your time at Sui Ren, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to refreshments. Signature cocktails such as Negronis, Margaritas, and Aperol Spritzes are on offer, as well as the Caribbean Mule, a unique spin on the classic Moscow Mule. If you’d prefer to have a non-alcoholic beverage, soft drinks, mocktails, and other refreshments are also readily available.
Have a bit of a sweet tooth? Sui Ren’s tantalizing desserts will be hard to resist. From the classic Molten Lava Cake to Sweet Potato Donuts and Mango Passion Dome, Sui Ren’s dessert options make for the perfect ending to a delicious meal.
If you’re craving a bit of sushi but would prefer to enjoy it from the comfort of your home, hotel room, or villa, you’re in luck as Sui Ren also offers takeaway.
Sui Ren offers an idyllic, romantic setting that is both elegant and comfortable. And for those always in search of a good photo opportunity, Sui Ren’s ambience, lighting, and design make it the perfect place to snap some beautiful shots before and after dinner.
As Sui Ren only uses high-quality seafood and organic produce in preparing its dishes, menu items are on the pricier side but remain consistent with the fine dining market in the Turks and Caicos. However, for the budget-conscious traveler, the restaurant also offers a special on sushi every Friday night. Due to Sui Ren’s popularity and availability constraints, making a reservation in advance is highly recommended, particularly for the Friday night sushi special.
