East Bay Resort is a luxury beachfront resort on South Caicos. The hotel offers both all-inclusive packages, and conventional hotel stays. Choose from one and two bedroom suites, most of which have are either beachfront or have a direct ocean view.
Rooms at East Bay Resort feature a great range of amenities, including air conditioning, high speed wifi and cable TV, and full kitchens.
South Caicos is quaint and laid-back island in the Turks and Caicos, and offers a different perspective to the busy island of Providenciales, which welcomes the majority of the overnight guests that visit the Turks and Caicos. The island has a heritage with two industries, the now defunct
sea salt industry, and small scale commercial fishing.
In stark contrast to Providenciales and Grace Bay, South Caicos doesn’t have many large stores, luxury shopping, or many restaurants. The island excels as an alternative to the well-known tropical destinations. Both East Bay Resort and
Sailrock, the two luxury resorts on the island, offer a very high level of accommodation, onsite dining, and amenities, yet off these two hotels, the atmosphere quickly returns to a Hemingwayesque Old World Caribbean feel.
South Caicos excels as a destination for those seeking to pursue some specific sports, such as
hiking, and scuba diving, or those wanting a laid-back and intimate vacation away from the hustle and bustle.
East Bay Resort offers all-inclusive packages that may include just meals, just drinks, or both, at very competitive rates.
The Turks and Caicos supports a small collection of all-inclusive resorts, including a few on our smaller and private cays, which offer a boutique private island experience. Although South Caicos isn’t a private island, stays at East Bay Resort or Sailrock feature an atmosphere that’s somewhat similar to destinations like the
Meridian Club on
Ambergris Cay Resort on
Ambergris Cay, and
Parrot Cay Resort on
Parrot Cay, which are on private cays.
East Bay Resort features a full complement of luxury amenities. Onsite at the beachfront hotel is BLU restaurant and bar, a beautiful pool, Ayur Spa, a fitness centre, a great collection of water sports equipment, and professional and friendly staff.
South Caicos is an amazing setting for several water sports, including bonefishing, reef and bottom fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, kiteboarding, and coastal hiking.
Two exceptional attractions near South Caicos that every guest should visit are incredible
Long Cay with its sheltered west coast beach, and the paddling destination of
Plandon Cay Cut (the access to this channel system is typically referred to as Jerry Camp), and your chosen hotel should be able to arrange the excursions if desired.
Excellent hiking and coastal scenes start directly to the east of the resort, and lead through
old salt salinas, and coasts such as Shark Bay and Highlands Bay.
East Bay Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on South Caicos, and East Bay Resort is located on the best section of the coast.
Due to being somewhat exposed to the eastern trades winds, there may be a little surface chop to the waves in the area, yet the ocean at East Bay is usually calm and clear, and the beach is wide, with perfect white sand.
South Caicos isn’t a very large island, and East Bay Resort is located a bit to the east of
Cockburn Harbour, the primarily settlement on the island. It’s possible to walk into town from the resort (1 mile/1.6km to the centre of town), yet the resort has bicycles for guest use, which make the trip a breeze.
The accommodations on South Caicos typically provide complimentary transport to and from the
South Caicos Airport for their guests.
