Unique Tours

Blue Hills Road, Blue Hills, Providenciales
Unique Tours offers horseback riding on most of the beaches on Providenciales.

Based in the charming and colorful settlement of Blue Hills on Providenciales, Unique Tours and Rentals is a small locally owned and operated eco-adventure company that specializes in safari-style island tours and horseback riding on the beach.

Horseback Riding

A popular activity among visitors to the Turks and Caicos, the company’s horseback riding tour begins on the beach and takes guests along the shores of the scenic Blue Hills Beach. This family-friendly tour requires no formal equestrian experience, making it a viable option for both beginners and seasoned professional riders. And while there are other horseback riding companies on the island, Unique Tours prides itself on being the only one with tours that start directly on the beach.

Led by friendly and experienced guides, you’ll spend about one hour wading through the waters of the beach at a slow pace, allowing you to bask in the beauty of Blue Hills with the opportunity to spot fish and sea turtles along the way.

Horseback Riding Tours Available

Guests have the option of booking either a regular tour, a sunset tour, or a customized private tour. The customized private tour is recommended for those traveling in large groups.

If you’re interested in horseback riding but would prefer a different location, Unique Tours can bring their horseback riding tours to most beaches on Providenciales. For the photographer or Instagram enthusiast, the company’s dedicated tour guides spend part of the tour documenting the experience with your smartphone or camera.

Unique Tours also partners with a number of local photography companies to offer the option of professional photography during your tour at an additional cost.

Safari-Style Island Tours

Led by knowledgeable guides from the Turks and Caicos, Unique Tours also offers all-inclusive safari-style island tours of Providenciales. These tours include pit stops at a number of iconic sites on the island, including the historical Cheshire Hall Plantation, Chalk Sound National Park, Smith’s Reef, and more. The tour also includes snorkeling stops, with guests given about 30 minutes to snorkel at each location. Snorkel gear is provided to all guests at no extra cost.

Lunch at da Conch Shack

You’re bound to work up an appetite on your island tour. Fortunately, the tour also includes a seafood platter at Da Conch Shack in Blue Hills so you can sample local fare such as cracked conch and fish. One of the most popular restaurants on Providenciales, da Conch Shack is known for its picturesque location on the beach that has drawn celebrities vacationing in the Turks and Caicos. Here, you can dine on picnic benches with bare feet in the sand and a calming view of the ocean.

The Quaint Community of Blue Hills

One of the original settlements on Providenciales, Blue Hills is known for its quiet roads, colorful pastel cottages, and palm trees that line the seaside Blue Hills Road.

If you’re not staying near the Blue Hills area and don’t have a rental car, Unique Tours offers complimentary transportation to and from your hotel or villa. Entrance fees to parks, such as Cheshire Hall Plantation, are also included in your tour.

If you’re interested in exploring the island with Unique Tours, it’s highly recommended you book in advance, as their tours are popular and limited in availability.
